Episode 010: Deporte Ray

Welcome back, all you Venterrobangers, to the tenth official episode of the Venterrobang Podcast. This episode gives a basic overview of the state of Sports in America, in the Springfield area, and beyond. Also an update on the changes in fast food restaurants in the greater Springfield/Nixa/Ozark area, and is, as usual, sprinkled with a healthy amount of rabbit trail material along the way. In fact I think we broke a record for the number of eateries, movie and TV shows, and other random pop culture references included in an episode that were not related to the main subject matter. I was so excited to get to sit down and talk with Karl Ray again as it had been a while! He was such an accommodating guest and taught me much about the current state of sports. You’ll have to forgive my failures as a host as I rarely remember what episode number we’re recording, or what day it will post, or what day it is right now. We hope he will become a Venterrobang Podcast staple going forward. Thanks again to Karl for his patience and willingness to come to my house to record this episode!

Our Ubuntu Linux app remains in development. It is currently functional, but ugly as sin. Oh, and if you want a Venterrobang Podcast logo on something like a T-Shirt or Mug, let us know and we’ll see what we can do. We’re also gearing up to record live at a few locations around the Springfield, MO area. If you’d like to be on the show, watch our Twitter/Facebook feed for times and locations.

Don’t forget to turn in your answer to the Win a Hat by Matt trivia challenge!

I thought I would try to list some of the fine quality establishments that have been mentioned in this episode, along with a link if available.
