Episode 014: Three Men and a Roller Derby Babe

Welcome back, all however many of you still with us, to the fourteenth official episode of the Venterrobang Podcast. This episode includes a mish-mash of topics ranging from bad jokes to movie reviews, Star Trek talk to good old Springfield’s Queen City Roller Derby at Springfield Skateland!

We hope to make Roller Derby a Venterrobang Podcast staple going forward. Thanks again to Heather Heinrichs for allowing us to come into her wonderful home and drain her brain of all the upcoming Springfield Queen City Roller Derby League happenings and news! We’re fans for life!

Our Ubuntu Linux app remains in development. It is currently functional, but ugly as sin. Oh, and if you want a Venterrobang Podcast logo on something like a T-Shirt or Mug, let us know and we’ll see what we can do. We’re also gearing up to record live at a few locations around the Springfield, MO area. If you’d like to be on the show, watch our Twitter/Facebook feed for times and locations.

We had another special guest on this episode, Ryan Spilken. How special? You be the judge. We were very pleased to have him join us and add his own personal je ne sais quoi to the conversation. We hope he’ll continue to join us for any future episode he deems worthy of his presence. Need more Ryan? Find his musical works with The North Decade on Bandcamp, or his solo works “Paper Raindrops” and “Oh Noah” on Soundcloud.

I thought I would try to list some of the fine quality establishments that have been mentioned in this episode, along with a link if available.

Open Source Software products Audacity (basic mixing), Ubuntu 64-bit (Desktop Linux Operating System), Mumble (raw recording), and WordPress (blogging software) were used to create this episode.
